The Cat at Platform Zero Vol.33

About this book

（シリーズ共通の説明文に本巻の軸を差し替えて使用する） > Twelve more months at Hoshizaki Station, where the trains stop at forty-two minutes past the hour and the white cat with the patch over his left eye keeps the bench. This year the valley looks at the most ordinary thing it owns: the red footbridge everybody crosses and nobody thinks about — until a friendship of forty years turns out to have been conducted entirely at its middle, a man gives up the count that tunnelled his commute, a retired clerk starts filing reports about everything that is not broken, and the stationmaster crosses home at the year's end with nothing to carry at all. Gentle, complete stories about the middle of things — and about finally going all the way over.
